PS4 Arguments
The following is a list of real arguments we hear PS4 fans make every day and how you should reply.
1. PS4 is more for gaming.
By that, do you mean it's better for gaming? All Sony did was take the lazy route and add a ton of useless features such as a touchpad and a lightbar. Actually that's not all they did. They also copied off Xbox SmartGlass by making an app called: PlayStation App. The Xbox One, however, has some truely new ideas and features. For instance: extremely fast multiplayer (300,000 servers and counting), trigger vibration/resistance, stronger controller vibrations, voice commands, better game A.I. capability (Thanks to the cloud, your Xbox One will see how other players behave and act and will be able to integrate that in game A.I..), a better matchmaking system called "Star Party", and the ability to run two games at once. None of these features are available on the PS4 unless Sony tries copying off Microsoft again. Bottom line: Sony tacked on a ton of unnecessary features. Microsoft added and improved useful ones.
2. PS4 has free online.
With the PS4, you'll need PS Plus to play online which costs $49.99 per year just like Xbox Live Gold.
3. PS4 has more exclusives.
PS4 doesn't actually have more. If you noticed, most of the conference was spent talking about either indie games, or non-exclusives. there weren't actually many triple A exclusives. The Xbox One, however will have lots of triple A exclusives and indie games.
4. PS4 is cheaper.
You get what you pay for. Pay less to get less or pay more to get more.
5. Xbox One spies on you.
According to the general counsel and executive vice president at Microsoft, that's not the case. And if you're still worried, the Kinect 2.0 (which, by the way, has seen rediculous improvements http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi5kMNfgDS4) can actually be turned completely off.
6. PS4 has better graphics.
A. Well good graphics won't help a glitchy piece of junk that skips during gameplay.
B. As of August 2nd, The Xbox One GPU went from 800 GHz to 853 GHz. (The PS4 GPU remains at 850 GHz.)
7. Xbox One is just a glorified cable box.
Just because the Xbox One offers more entertainment options than PS4 doesn't make it a "glorified cable box". For that matter I might as well call PS4 a glorified Blu-ray player.
8. PS4 looks cooler.
If that's all you care about in a gaming console than go for it.

Keep It Going!
The Xbox One vs PS4 world pole has been in the favor of PS4 for quite some time now. But lately, Xbox One has been making a comeback. The Xbox One percentage, as of yesterday, was 24.38% and 74.62% for PS4. As of today, August 27th, that number has gone from 24.38% to 24.48% and 74.52% for PS4.
In other words, the Xbox One percentkage grew by .1% over night! (That wouldn't be impressive but this is the entire world.)

Recent News: Friends list
I've just found out that the Xbox One will have 1,000 friends while PS4 (they've recently anounced) will have 2,000. *slow clap* I don't know a single person who's even met the 100 friends limit on the Xbox 360. And I'm pretty sure nobody will need more than 300 friends. I'll never need 1,000 friends let alone 2,000. So congratulations, Sony, you've successfully given the PS4 players yet another stupid thing to use as an argument. (Other PS4 arguments inlude: "PS4 is more for gaming", "Xbox One spies on you.", "Sony cares more about their fans.", "Xbox is gay.", "PS4 has a touchpad on the controller.", etc.)

Why Xbox One is simply the smarter purchase:
1. Multimedia/Entertainment
The Xbox One will offer every type of media we use every day. (Live TV, DVD, Blu-ray, Netflix, music, etc) While that has nothing to do with gaming, that means you no longer need anything you have plugged into your TV. You can just sell all that stuff! That also includes your cable box. No more expensive monthly bills for live TV! You will only need One thing plugged into your TV and that's your Xbox One.
2. Technology
The PS4 will be a good piece of technology. The Xbox One will be better. Why? The Xbox One will be able to do up to four things at once. (It won't split screen them though but why would you want to split screen four things at once?) You might want to play a game, while downloading it, while watching a YouTube tutorial all an the same screen instead of doing one thing at a time. All with the power of your voice. The Xbox One will offer voice controls unparalleled by anything but Siri. It's accurate and understanding and you'll be able to access literally any feature of the Xbox One through it. The Kinect sensor has also been massively improved. (See my "Improvements: Microsoft vs Sony" post for details on the Kinect)
3. Gaming
The Xbox One also had a massive focus on gaming. It will have faster multiplayer, more, and according to E3 better looking, exclusives, a better achievement system, virtually unlimited friends, and more partnerships (meaning more exclusives, DLC offers, and apps) than the PS4. Microsoft has also put effort into the SmartGlass. Now, I know what your're thinking: "Uhhgg, SmartGlass is SOOO stupid." Well it used to be. However Microsoft made it clear that game developers will be taking advantage of it in tons of interesting ways. (Such as landscaping in Project Spark, or dropping supplies and missiles in commander mode in Battlefeild 4) The graphics for both consoles are pretty much the same. Xbox One has a GPU of 853 GHz while PS4 has a GPU of 850 GHz.
Overall:
The Xbox One conquers PS4 in almost every area. Entertainment options? Xbox One has more. Multiplayer? Xbox has 300,000 servers and virtually unlimited friends so it wins there too. Voice commands? Xbox wins there too. New/different ideas? Xbox has more (SmartGlass, Kinect, etc). Partnerships? Xbox dominates. Exclusives? Xbox has more.
Xbox One is simply the smarter purchase.

The reveal mistake:
Microsoft made a giant mistake with their reveal. They talked about entertainment and multimedia and multitask instead of games. Then, they had the conference where the talked about games. And that helped tremendously, but they should have put games first. Now, in the eyes of some, they talked too much about entertainment. I disagree. Why?
When you're talking about games... games are games... not much to it. (however Microsoft did show off amazing game features at the press conference) But when you're talking about entertainment, there's way more to talk about. There's all kinds of multimedia and entertainment to talk about so naturally, they're gonna talk a lot about it. To sum things up, no. They didn't talk too much about entertainment, they just shouldn't have talked about it before they talked about games.

To address the "Xbox One is less for gaming" issue:
First of all, just because the Xbox One offers more entertainment options than PS4, that doesn't mean the Xbox One is more for gaming.
Actually, Xbox One is better for gaming than the PS4. How so? Well firstly, the Xbox One has far better multiplayer. Xbox Live will have 300,000 servers. There will be almost no lag ever again. You can also have virtually unlimited friends.
Secondly, Xbox One has more exclusives. And according to E3 and most other people, better looking than that of the PS4.
Thirdly, the Xbox One will dedicate 5 GB of RAM to gaming. PS4 dedicates 4.5. (Not a big difference but enough to make the Xbox One load games noticeably faster.) And no, DDR5 RAM is no better than DDR3.
Finally, (Small detail but worth mentioning) the Xbox One will have a far better achievement system than the PS4.
So there you have it. Xbox One beats PS4 in entertainment, multimedia, and gaming.

Improvements: Sony vs Microsoft
Note that in this list, I won't include graphics or speed because it's obvious that both companies improved that.
1. Sony has added party chat. (which Xbox already had)
2. Sony has added indie games. (which Microsoft already had)
3. Sony tacked on a touchpad on the controller.
4. Sony added PS App (clearly trying to replicate SmartGlass)
5. Sony tacked on a lighbar on the side of the controller you can't see unless you tilt your controller awkwardly.
6. PS4 can play a game while downloading it.
Now Microsoft:
1. Microsoft added extensive amounts of multimedia.
2. Microsoft added a ridiculous amount of multitask.
3. Xbox Live will now have 300,000 servers. And through that $50 per year fee, that number will be growing.
4. Microsoft improved the achievement system tremendously.
5. Microsoft added a Blu-ray player. (yes, PlayStation already had that)
6. Microsoft completely reinvented the Kinect and it now works flawlessly. It can see the slightest shoulder rotation and understand your words like a human.
7. Microsoft added face recognition. It will sign you in automatically and take faces it doesn't know and sign them in as guest.
8. Xbox can play a game while downloading it.
9. Microsoft added extremely strong controller vibration to make games feel more immersive.
10. Microsoft reinvented the voice control system. It even hears your commands when it's turned off. (No, it doesn't spy on you. Proof: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.822806-Microsoft-Vows-To-Fight-Government-Spying-Via-Kinect )
11. Xbox Live will now offer virtually unlimited friends. The current limit is 100.
Overall:
Xbox One is a Complete reinvention of the Xbox 360. Every thing was improved and tons of things where added.
PS4? Adds a ton of things that Xbox 360 already had, tacks some things onto the controller, and plays games while downloading them. (So does Xbox One.)

So, you call Microsoft secretive?
Sony secretly announced that the PS4 OS will take up 3.5 GB of RAM. Before they announced that, people where getting on Microsoft for the Xbox One OS taking up 3 GB. This is not a big difference, but the fact that they kept it secret should make you want to reconsider calling Microsoft "secretive". (By the way, the PS4 does not have better RAM. DDR5 is no better than DDR3. DDR3 just fits in better with the Xbox One hardware.

To address the game recording difference:
Fans of the PS4 have been bragging about 2 things.
1. Graphics (Which they can't ever since Aug. 2 when Microsoft made the Xbox One GPU 853 GHz when PS4 still has a GPU of 850 GHz)
2. The PS4 will record the past 15 minutes of gameplay while Xbox One will only do 5 minutes. (30 seconds for multiplayer)
Personally, I think it's unfair to compare the two. Sony, obviously, was thinking about full-length videos while Microsoft was focusing on recording cool moments. They where meant for two different things.

Choose wisely.
What PS4 has over Xbox One:
1. Controller lightbar that can be used as a health display or ammo display, or something else... But would you really want to keep looking down at your controller, or just look at the screen?
2. Controller touchpad. not a screen. Doesn't show images. Just tacks on some random touch controls. (Any of which can be replicated by Xbox through Xbox Smartglass)
3. Controller tilt. This can be used in driving games, or minigames which is , I have to admit, very cool.
4. Although both consoles offer 500 GB of memory, only PS4 will let you upgrade by buying a new hard drive. (But do you really need more than 500 GB? I've had my Xbox 360 ever since it came out, and I haven't needed more than 250 GB.)
What Xbox One has over PS4:
1. Better Controller vibration. This will make games feel far more immersive.
2. Faster Online. The Xbox One will have 300,000 servers. This will ensure no more lag and other connection issues.
3. Better multitask. As demonstrated and talked about by Microsoft, the Xbox One will do up to 4 things at once. (yes, including running a game while downloading it). However, it won't split screen them all at once. (Why would you need to split screen 4 things at once?)
4. More exclusives. The Xbox One offers more ,and according to E3 better looking, exclusives than PS4. People are often mislead to believe that PS4 has more because they showed indie titles at their conference. but there will be thousands of indies for both consoles.
5. More multimedia. The Xbox One will offer every type of media we use every day. And all you have to do is tell your Xbox to do it. Literally.
6. More in depth voice commands. The PS4 , through PS Eye, will offer voice control to a certain degree while the Xbox One voice control will allow you to access literally anything your Xbox is capable of.
7. More partnerships. Granted, this has nothing to do with the console itself, but thanks to the ridiculous amount of partnerships and contracts of the Xbox One, it will have access to tons of apps and gaes that PS4 will not have.
8. Kinect. The Kinect we have today is glitchy, clunky, and overall, broken. However the Kinect 2.0 will be insanely improved. It will see the slightest shoulder rotation or thumb movement.
Why Xbox One is better than PS4:
There are three reasons people buy technology.
1. The amount of features that piece of technology offers
2. The amount of new ideas that piece of technology executes
3. How that piece of technology runs and executes all of those features.
There are four reasons people buy gaming systems.
1. Number and quality of exclusives
2. Online speed (multiplayer, Netflix, etc)

4. Controller

3. Xbox One executes all this technology flawlessly.
4. Xbox One offers more exclusives (excluding the thousands of indie games for both consoles)
5. Xbox One has faster online than PS4 due to the massive amount of servers (300,000)
6. Xbox One and PS4 have pretty much the same graphic capability (Xbox One: 853 GHz, PS4: 850)
7. Xbox One has a controller with vastly improved vibrations to make games more immersive. PS4 doesn't.
There are three reasons people give Xbox One so much hate.
1. People think that Microsoft "doesn't care about the users" due to the big mistake at the press conference.
2. People believe that Microsoft doesn't care about gamers due to the reveal.
3. A lot of people are yet to get the news that Xbox One fixed all the flaws.
There are four reasons people are getting a PS4.
1. They are die hard Sony fans.
2. All reasons listed in the previous list.
3. They where told that PS4 offers free online. (With PS4, you need PS Plus to play online which costs $50)
4. It's cheaper.
In the comments below, if you're still on the PS4 side, please post real arguments. Not insults about the Xbox One.
